produced with our friends at Crown + Conquer, the activation reimagines a retro American diner through a festival lens:
bold red architecture, curved interiors, cold drinks and continuous movement.
inside, guests step into a fully immersive environment built for participation, including live music, instant-win moments and a steady flow of high-energy photo sharing.
the challenge
at Coachella scale, traditional event content is too slow:
photos get taken but never delivered
content gets trapped in post-production
momentum dies on-site
the shift: from capture to circulation
to match the pace of the festival, Coca-Cola designed its guest experience around Hypno’s real-time content system.
VIP passholders entered an oversized photo booth, stepped into frame, shot 3 frames and quickly received fully branded photo strips on their phone within seconds.
what traditionally functions as photo documentation became distribution. each photo strip designed with a retro Coca-Cola aesthetic acted as keepsake and shareable asset, amplifying the brand far beyond its physical footprint.
the concept: modern nostalgia
while the concept leaned retro, the solution was built for social behavior today:
black-and-white photo strips framed in Coca-Cola red
instant delivery via mobile, optimized for sharing
high-throughput capture, matching festival volume
seamless integration with live guest flow
high traffic, zero downtime
the result
by removing the gap between moment and media, Hypno created a continuous loop:
experience → capture → delivery → share → amplify
the Pop Shop extended outward through thousands of personal networks, effectively turning a tentpole brand installation into a real-time festival broadcast.
Hypno didn’t just enable the Coca-Cola experience at Coachella — we scaled it.
